Few days ago I made some very painful mistake. I ate too much fruit and I take new supplement: Juniper Berries Extract. By the end of the day I was in pain again. On the pain scale I hit BULLS EYE…… π !!! OUCH!!! What I was Thinking???!!!
Moderation means: “the avoidance of excess”. And that includes fruit, sour foods and supplements made of fruits too. I have to be more careful how much of what I’m eating. And then I shall be fine.
And next day I got this email from Glenn62 – glenndupreez@hotmail.com – http://compassionforall . According to Glenn62 I should avoid eating meat, dairy products, eggs. Animal products are not good for humans. I knew that, I agree completely with Glenn62. I don’t have other choice…… π . And he said that I should eat 20% of fruit and 80% of veggies. So one serving of fruits : four veggies. And I was doing the opposite….. π – Oh, well, fruits taste better than veggies to me. But I have to listen to Glenn62. He knows better. Blessings to you Glenn62! Thank You!
And now I believe that I can be in control of my pain – without painkillers! What a great feeling! I’m sure, there always going to be some pain. But not this overwhelming pain…
Some people take powerful painkillers like Lirica and they sleep all day, because those pills make them drowsy. I can’t do that. I want to live and walk….. Maybe slow, but all by myself…..
Thank you all for reading and understanding.
God Bless You All!
Oneanna65
P.S. You know – if every mistake would be so painful, our life would be very different….. π !
i’m sorry that you had to endure that pain, but glad that it was easy to determine the trigger. yow!
i hope that you continue to improve!

So sorry to hear! Who knew fruits could have such an adverse reaction to your body? Take it easy, I’ll be thinking of you and hoping you’ll feel better soon! π
Your strength and courage is inspiring, I just hope you don’t have to have another day like that! All my best thoughts, prayers and wishes to you! (=
Yes, glad you found out the culprit so quickly! Peace, Patti
Almost 2500 years ago, Itwas Aristotle who said “all things in moderation”
I can’t imagine the pain you must have experienced but glad to hear you are now managing it with more veggies! I guess we all learn the hard way at times. Hope you feel better!
Sorry you had to endure all that terrible pain before realizing what you need to do. Sure hope you are doing a whole lot better now. Hugs
Feel better! π
I suffer from a lot of pain and slept almost constantly for 2 years from the pain meds I take. I guess my body finally got used to them, and I’m awake during the day like a normal person, but I can’t focus, my memory is horrible… I am scared towean off of them because the pain is so awful, but I really want to try. Thank you for posting this, I am going to change my diet and hope for good results! Kat
Ouch indeed Anna ;), but thanks for sharing the experience with us; we can all learn lessons from our own (and others’) mistakes :). Take care, and best wishes as ever π x
Couldn’t agree more π
Stay in control, friend. God blesses.
I hope you feel better and sorry for your mistake.
Best,
Marianne
hOPE YOU FEELING BETTER NOW?
Great advice. I tend to indulge in a bit too much fruit from time to time. It will take a while for me to learn what I can eat and what I can’t. Gone are the days that I can put anything in the monster stomach machine and everything is fine. I wish you better days and am glad there are people with good advice. Take care! – Amy π
That’s very true. For most of us, we live each day doing what we please, even though we may know it’s not good for us. Unfortunately for some, by the time they discover the damage done by their indulgences, it is much harder to fix them. I hope you’re feeling better again very fast.
Thoughts and prayers go out to you!
Your attitude is wonderful. I hope your pain becomes manageable.
I am glad you are feeling better! What and how we eat is important.
Pain and aging seem to go hand in hand. I’m right there with you…arthritis is no fun. I’ve been able to work out my own “black magic” which seems to be working. All the best with what works for you.
hugs! π
all the best!
Hey I hope you are feeling better now! Yes, avoid taking painkillers…Take Care.. & All the best….
Wishing you all the best!! Take care Anna – All the best from Calee in Amsterdam xo
Anna, thank you for liking my poem about Summer. I wish you the best.
I hope you recover.
I appreciate your appreciation of “Known by Creatures We Keep”! And I understand gout pain. And other pain. Darn! We all have it sometimes, some of us more than others, longer than others. May Divine Love fill and move and heal you, every day…
And what a wonderful outlook you have. To realize that we would learn so much faster from our mistakes if they all caused us a lot of pain is very insightful – especially when you are in such pain! So sorry to hear…I’ll keep you in my prayers. Is it gout you’re dealing with? I’ve heard that drinking pure Cherry Juice really helps…? My husband has to take Allopurinol as it keeps coming back…knee, toe, elbow… Would that be an option for you? Take care – gentle hugs!
I have nominated you for a bunch of awards because I think you are so awesome and your blog is great – http://lauracrean.wordpress.com/2013/08/25/a-bunch-of-awards/
I have lots of food allergies that keep me thinking constantly about food. It has become a burden to eat. ~~~~ : – O
Hope you feel better soon.
Thanks for visiting my blog. I hope your health continues to improve each day! Sweet dreams tonight.
May your recovery be full.
Fruit tastes better than veggies to me, too! Hope you’re feeling better.
I pray you’ll be feeling better quickly. God bless you!
I’ve heard that a vegan diet is the way to go for many health issues. I also have a chronic condition and I’ve been wanting to go vegan but it is impossible without my entire family being on board. And that is not going to happen! Good luck my friend!

Ensure is great and watch your diet. Some protein, small portions of veggies, a bit of fruit. Best to you, dear girl. With love, Charmaine.
I agree with you that fruit tastes so much better than vegetables especially the green leafy kind that we’re really supposed to eat. π Thanks for liking my art by the way. You have encouraged me. Thank you!
Hi! My mom has had many strange undiagnosable health problems. She is also not a fan of conventional medicine treatments. She has found much relief from a man named Braco. He has a gift for gazing at people and helping with their problems. He does the gazing live streaming for only $1 per session. I know it sounds out there, but please check out the website if you want more info: http://www.braco.net
He has live streams going on currently…he has helped millions of people.
Stay well!
Sounds terrible! So sorry~
You are strong and brave. Thanks for sharing.
Sending healing thoughts your way.
Respect!
Fruits, because of their high sugar content, can acidify the body. Better to stick to the alkalining fruits like lemons, grapefruit and coconut or the mildly acidic fruits like watermelon, plums and cherries.
Best wishes!
Fruit is high in sugar, which can speed up the metabolism and make things feel sharp. I find the balance is protein and fat, which slows things down and makes things feel softer.
I guess veggies are good too to dilute that sugar, since veggies don’t have a lot of calories. Although I mainly prefer the more energy-rich rice, wheat, and oats (but they lack vitamins, and I don’t have cancer).
I don’t know what your ratio should be, but I eat the same food on a predictable schedule to try to always keep things changing and contrasting but also in balance, so there’s no way to accidentally eat the wrong thing. My life is my own personal science project.
Do you know to limit juniper to only 2 months or so at a time? I hope so. It can be hard on the liver and kidneys. It is an excellent botanical remedy, just one that has to be handled with respect. Peace!

The fructose in fruit is not good for your gout, so find an online list of the fructose levels in different fruits and choose the low one. Cherries always good.
