!0 more days to the most wonderful time of the year.
This what Christmas is about, according to Lucinda Franks:
“Christmas in Bethlehem. The ancient dream, a cold clear night made brilliant by a glorious star, the smell of incense, shepherds and wise men falling to their knees in adoration of the sweet baby, the incarnation of perfect love.”
Thanks Lucinda for reminding us…
And somebody [Author Unknown] said this:
“There are three phrases that sum up Christmas: PEACE ON EARTH, GOODWILL TO MEN and BATTERIES NOT INCLUDED.”
You are funny Unknown.
According to Johny Carson the worst Christmas gift is a fruitcake. He thinks that there is only one fruitcake in the entire world, and people keep sending it to each other.
No Johny. I think that there are more than one fruitcake and one Christmas you may even receive same fruitcake what you give away 10 years ago… 🙂 !!!
So…
I’m dreaming of a white Christmas,
Just like the ones I used to know,
When the tree tops glisten
And children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow…
Yeah, it was a long time ago. But I remember. [Thanks to Ginkgo Biloba – my favorite “brain herb”]
Wishing you all Merry and Healthy Christmas.
Don’t eat the fruitcake! 🙂 !
Peace and ❤ .
God Bless you all.

bless you … where can I follow you
I love fruitcake. Send them all to me.
Not only can you eat it (if lost in the wilderness), but it can also be used as wheel chocks for your trailer, pucks for curling, and counterbalance weights for barn doors. They say it burns, too, though I’ve never made a fire of it.
Far too many other practical uses for fruitcake to list here.
Merry, Merry Christmas. I’m thankful for each one I’m allowed to share with those I love (that includes YOU, y’know!).
Love,
Paz
🙂 & ❤ !!! Merry Christmas!!!
Merry Christmas, Anna! :<3 I might try some of the Ginkgo. 😉
I read a funny article this year, or saw it on a news show (Can’t remember which now…old age I guess) that there is a lady who loves fruitcake and asked people to send her the ones they didn’t want. She had enough fruitcake for a whole year. Funny and true. 😀

Hi oneanna65. Though not religious. I do like the traditional Christmas families together the Nativity and carols. Not the vast sums of money being spent. Thank you for liking my poem Choking! Peace and Best Wishes. The Foureyed Poet.
Hoping you had a wonderful Christmas. Wishing you a Happy New Year!!
Wishing you a wonderful 2016 and many more. A lovely, hilarious blog! What a great attitude you have. Thanks for showing all of us how to meet adversity. And thanks for stopping by The Noontimes.
There are definitely worse presents than fruit cakes (but then, they are not a classic Christmas present in the Netherlands)…. I love books, but getting a book you know immediately you won’t read (because you don’t like the author, the genre, or the the first page) is such a waste of potential… Or getting some clothing you don’t like by someone you do like …. dilemma! Do you honestly say “thank you, but I will never wear this because it really is not my type of thing” or do you say “thank you” and bury it deep in your closet, hoping the giver will forget it…. aargh… 😉
Anyway, Christmas is already a week ago now, but the Christmas tree is still standing beautifully in our living room….
Happy New Year!
Oneanna65, thanks for reading my post, and may 2016 be marked by many good things coming your way.
