My 69 Birthday.

Horray! Is my Birthday again.
I’m 69 years old.
And I’m happy.
Because I’m alive.
Against the odds.

And I’m thankful for every day of my life.
The good days and the bad.
Because without the bad days I wouldn’t know the good.

I’m living my second life.
My second life started when I realized that I have only one. πŸ™‚ .
And I like my second life much better than the first one.

One only way to avoid old age is to die young.
And aging is the only way to live long.

But we don’t want to die young, because we will never have a chance to enjoy the second life. πŸ™‚ .

Thank you for you support.
God Bless you all.

Your bravery is an encouragement to all who find themselves in a like, or different, battle.

I am looking forward to celebrating your 79th birthday and beyond.

  4. Happy 69th Birthday!! Wishing you many more. You are so right – people complain about aging and I always remind them that some of my cousins would have loved to have had longer lives. Everyday I wake I am grateful for another day. The second half of life is beautiful!

    1. Wow! Thank you for the like on one of my posts!

  5. I’m still young but this inspires me. I want to grow up well and healthy and still sharing my life through blogging. Happy birthday.

  6. Sixty nine is fine. As for me at eighty five, I like that a lot better. My darling Mom died at fifty-so precious-so sudden and my first love left us at fifty six. You never know. Chin up, dear one. You ‘ve had a long difficult haul. My prayers for a good many happy years ahead of you.

  7. Happy belated birthday!! You have a fascinating blog, my mum has been battling breast cancer and has also been reading your work with interest. Thank you πŸ™‚

  8. This is intricately woven wit, humor, and wisdom. Poetically written, by someone who’s been smitten, bitten, scolded like a kitten who’s come to realise their nine lives is something that was lurking in their DNA.. πŸ‘Œ

  9. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I like this sentiment: “My second life started when I realized that I have only one.” Hope you had a wonderful time celebrating you and your second life.

  10. Many happy returns to you 69πŸ’–. So good writing! Your positive attitude really woke me up. How unjudgemental words and thoughts after all you have gone through. Wish you joy and happiness now and for a very very long future😊😊😊

  11. Thank you for reading from my blog.

Happy Birthday! I mean when it happened, though in my family we’re fluid about when to celebrate each other.

I hope it was a grand day, followed by pleasurable days since.

For you, I wish and pray healing and enjoying.–Christopher

  12. Celebrating your renewed lease on life! Reading your post reminds me of another post I read yesterday, My favorite quote was “I need a reminder of my mortality so then I remember to live.” While your two stories are very different your messages are the same. Thank you for your encouraging words to those of us who may think today is ‘just another Wednesday’. Health and happiness to you.

  13. Good Evening Anna,
