Hi!
This morning I found this very interesting Post published by Keith Mc Arthur and I want to share with you my Dear Readers.
It is about – Memento Mori (lat) – a reminder of mortality.
And it is about – Memento Vivere (lat) – Remember to Live.
As Charlie Brown said:
Some day, we will all die, Snoopy!
Snoopy:
True. But on all the other days, we will not. 🙂 !
God bless you all.

It is humanity’s best kept secret. We all know we’re going to die. But few of us really believe it. Even fewer live our lives as if we understand it.
Ask yourself: If you knew you were going to die one year from now, would you live your life differently?
I know I would.
I would savor every moment, cherish every breath of air, notice every blade of grass. I would live like the people I most love are the people I love most. I would stop complaining and criticizing and feeling sorry for myself. I would live to make their lives better, and wouldn’t wait to hug them and hold them and tell them how much they mean to me. I would stop worrying about what strangers think. I would re-read the books that made me happiest and listen to music that makes me want to dance. I would…

Great reminder! Thanks!
Yes!
That made me laugh, Snoopy saying that on the others we are not going to die!

wonderful reminder
that it’s one
of those days 🙂
Dying is merely the process of transferring from mortality to immortality, from one state of being to another state of being, from one dimension to another dimension, etc. depending on one’s personal beliefs… one should not dwell on the hereafter much or one will miss all the wonderful moments in the present…
“When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us. “ Helen Keller
Thank you for that Helen Keller quote – I’ve long since followed the open window path and have felt great peace because of that choice; it’s not oblivious, it’s right because it is comforting and in that Light, we can and will find ourselves… Live in the ‘ever present now’ as the present is exactly that; a ‘present’ 🎁
Indeed, we are all born to die, but life can be as great as you want to make it; and as you get older, the vintage years can be among the best.
This is such a beautiful message to remind us all that life is very precious but quite short if we don’t stop dwelling on the issues that do not matter to us most. Just have faith, focus on those who we love the most and live life to its fullest by staying cheerful and not letting negative issues take us down.
That Snoopy.
Brilliant.
Love,
Paz
Love Snoopy’s reply!
What i kept saying to myself was today is not the day and tomorrow is another day any way. Great post. And btw thank you for stopping by
Snoopy has it right. One day you will die and until then for day(s) you will not.
Do we really die??? or do we go to rest somewhere unable to see the people we love, but somehow they will meet us someday, one by one at their own time. It is hard to think of this subject, We are more likely to forget about this departure to rest. it’s been eleven years since I have been seriously thinking of this topic at times, I lost mum for 11 years and at times I go into a deep reflection, I always stand by my window and I gaze at the sky thinking where in the world or universe could she be? But well, after then I come back to my own life and I continue my chores of the day. such is life and living life is all I could do. I love reading from you Anna. You take care of yourself and let’s hope we will continue to communicate. Thank you. Juli!
I love the post and the lines from Charlie Brown! It brought back memories when I was a monk in China. One day we had to exhume the two century old remains of two nuns to place them in a new memorial. It was not, as you would imagine, a pleasant task. As we finished the ceremony I remarked to the Abbot. “I good reminder of our mortality and impermanence” He replied: “And a good reminder that there is work to be done today before impermanence barges in.”.
Please don’t die today (and read this every day). 🙂

Thanks for this uplifting piece. As Professor Dumbledore said to Harry Potter – don’t forget to live!
Hi oneanna65 I would not change anything now! As long as I can write Thats me. Thank you for liking “Pondered! and Elvis Presley!” Be Safe. TheFoureyedPoet.
Great blog. Thanks! I love the “Spoiler Alert.” We are indeed all going to die and we get closer to crossing through that shadow into eternity every day. As for me, I’m living my dream by writing books…so I don’t have a bucket list. I thank God through Jesus Christ for every moment…and every book!
Thank you for liking my painting for Grace. It is so sad she is in stage 4 cancer. I have no words to express my grief about it.
A part of the journey, we enter with nothing and take nothing with
us, what matters is the time between and how we live it.
Beautifully put. What is it with us humans? We are meant to have the most extraordinary intelligence, and yet most of is deny the one undeniable truth to ourselves for almost the entirety of our lives. It is a shame. Thank you for the much needed reminder. Thanks to Snoopy too. That is a great quote. I’m going to remember that one 🙂
I think of this all the time but I have been deathly ill a few times in my life so I kind of know the reality of dipping your toe in the pool of eternity and appreciate my life and a good day that much more. Death is something I am familiar with, especially at my age when most of my close friends and family are already gone now. Thankfully I am not one of those that think life is a contest or a race that you have to prove or accomplish anything of greatest according to another man. This is life and is to be lived the best you can each day.
Death is something that indeed warrants reflection
It’s true that we will die physically because we live in a physical world, but we are primarily spiritual beings. Because of this, I’m never going to die, I’m just going to move from this life to the next, to be forever with my Jesus. In the meantime, I’m going to live here on earth as He wants me to live and bring Heaven down, “on earth, as it is in Heaven.” Heaven is the Christians destination, but while we’re here, Heaven has come into us and we’re supposed to give it to everyone around us.
Think about it.

Thank you for liking my post. I like the truth that there is only one day we die. We can live the other days to the full. Thank you for your inspiration. Angela
I’ve found that having my mortality shoved in my face has brought about a new appreciation for the things that truly mean the most. Corny as it gets, but true. Thanks so much for reminding us to be Present!
Nice finding deep meaning in comics. Snoopy gets philosophical.
